Fasten your seatbelts, because this nursery project is running on high octane! A client and best friend of mine, Susan Davis,  recently came in with the coolest project: a custom Bargello quilt made specially for her friend's new baby. The inspiration? The baby’s dad, Jerry Johnson, who is currently making waves as a ProSpec drift driver!

To match Jerry’s high-energy track life, this quilt was designed around the bold, burning colors of his drift car—fiery oranges, deep reds, brilliant yellows, and slick blacks.

Driven by Design: What Makes Bargello Special?

If you're new to quilting terminology, a Bargello quilt creates the illusion of movement, flame, or flowing waves using straight strip-piecing techniques.
